International Women’s Day

It’s international women’s day today. I’m proud to be a woman – all parts of being a woman. I’m proud of the gentle, mothering part that nurtures and comforts. I’m proud of the fierce part that stands up for and protects what she believes in. I’m proud of the wild part that does not fear her emotions, the darkness or the unknown. I’m proud of the intuitive part that is wise and knowing. I’m proud of the creative part that knows no boundaries. I’m proud of the playful part that remembers what it’s like to be a child. I’m proud of the emotional part that understands empathy. I’m proud of the part that gets scared and worries because she cares so much. And I’m proud of the vulnerable part that finds her power in being authentic, transparent and courageously bold even in a world that is learning still, the power of the feminine. I honour all the women in the world, in all our shapes, colours, sizes and age. And I honour the men that support us in being the amazing women that we are.
Here’s to the mothers, grandmothers, daughters, sisters and aunts out there. May we remember our sisterhood, our bond and the importance of our presence on this planet, our true Mother.
